Free and Flow with Paint: Find Wellness through Creativity with Tina Lawver

Free and Flow with Paint: Find Wellness through Creativity

With, Professional Artist, Tina Lawver in collaboration with The Bohemian Mama

Saturday, March 4th  11a - 2p

All of us, whether we believe it or not, were created creative.  Our bodies, minds, and spirits are geared to respond to the creativity all around us.  Whether we are shopping for food, clothing, cars, the movies we go to, how we dress our children and so much more…even how we do tasks that may seem mundane, like taxes and mowing the lawn.

It’s funny how so many of us can think we aren’t participating in the creativity of our surroundings , but it’s truly at the crux of what we do and who we are as humans.  It’s, undeniably, part of our design and by not nurturing it, we deny ourselves a wonderful aspect that adds so much richness to life.

So, with that in mind, The Bohemian Mama and Tina Lawver are collaborating to offer a workshop created to explore wellness through creativity.  In this workshop, Tina will lead how to work through and overcome the things that may stop us from creating such as the resistance that one can expect from a creative pursuit.

Tina shares how she’s heard so many times…

“I can’t paint”, “I can’t even draw a stick figure”, “I don’t have a creative bone in my body”  “I’m not talented”

She believes that, You Can, You Do, and You, most certainly, Are!  You may be surprised how very little “talent” has to do with it.

We will Overcome the blank canvas with a unique formula that she uses in her own process of creating art that speaks to the soul.  It is a proven pathway that allows the freedom to make a beautiful and successful piece of art.

Tina will share exercises that are part of her own studio practice that sets her up for success, as she makes art for client’s homes as well as public spaces, that will get you in that “right brain” space so that you can paint freely as well.

She’ll  also share some elements of art that every artist uses, some tricks of the trade, if you will.

All the while, you’ll be imparting yourself into a piece of art that will commemorate the significance of this moment.

It promises to be the most unique painting experience you’ll ever participate in and it’s for everyone.  Whether you’ve been painting for awhile or someone who’s never held a brush in your hand, this moment is made just for you.

*Make a piece of Art in a beautiful, loving, nurturing, and safe atmosphere

*Leave with actual, mixed media, techniques and skills that you can apply right away as you incorporate creativity into your wellness practice

*This will include inks, collage, acrylic paint, a bit of sketching, and embellishment.

*Have fun in this studio atmosphere that engages all 5 senses (and we’ll talk about why that’s important)

Here are a few helpful tips for the day

  • Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, clothes you don’t mind getting a bit of paint on (or bring your own apron)

  • All supplies will be there for you, but if you feel so lead.  Please feel f bring any supplies, your own easel to work on, or

  • Whatever you like that you may want to explore or ask questions about while you’re here for the day.

  • Bring your YES!  All the supplies and prep are nothing without the uniqueness that your presence will bring to the day.

We’re grateful to have this opportunity to share this experience with you.
